Naneum Creek Trail #1381
Length: 4.7 Miles

Open to: Hikers, horseback riders, mountain bikers,
and motorcycle riders.
Setting: Meadows, old-growth streams, riparian
zone.
Trailhead Access: Take Highway 97 to Blewett
Pass, go south on FS Road 9716 to FS Road 9712,
then go east on 9712 to trailhead near Haney
Meadow Campground, which may be used as a
railhead since this is a horse camp.
Directions: From FS Road 9712, the trail descends
along Naneum Creek, passing through meadows
and patches of timber to naneum Meadows. The
trail skirts along the endge of the meadows, then
climbs to a bench, continues past Grass Camp
Trail #1219 and Howard Creek Trail #1372 and
descends to Road 3330. This is the south
terminus of the trail.
Wilson Creek Trail #1387

Open to: Hikers, horseback riders, mountain bikers,
and motorcycle riders.
Trailhead Access: From State Highway 97 about 8
miles northwest of Ellensburg, turn east on
Smithson Road, then north onto Green Canyon
Road, then west on Reecer Creek Road and follow
it west and then north to FS Road 35 to the end of
the asphalt and junction with FS Road 3521, which
is the location of the trailhead.
Setting: Meadows, old-growth trees, stream,
riparian zone.
Parking and Facilities: There is no developed
trailhead here but there is parking for several
vehicles.
Directions: This trail is relatively flat and meanders
through several meadows and stands of old
lodgepole pine. It ends on the east end at the
junction with High Creek Trail #1354 in a sage
covered meadow.
Naneum Meadows Trail #1389
Length: 3.1 Miles

Open to: Hikers, horseback riders, mountain bikers,
and motorcycle riders.
Trailhead Access: From Highway 97 at Swauk
Pass, go south on FS Road 9716 to FS Road 9712,
east on 9712, then south on Road 35 to the
trailhead on top of Table Mountain.
Setting: High plateau, meadows, old-growth
lodgepole pine, stream, open hillsides.
Parking and Facilities: Roadside parking for six
vehicles.
Directions: Descends gently through alternating
meadows and stands of old-growth lodgepole
pine. The trail descends more steeply, crosses FS
Road 3530, and skirts lower Naneum Meadows. It
then crosses Naneum Creek and ends at the
junction with Trail #1381. This is an old trail, with
some use by cattle, but it is in relatively good
condition.
Mount Lillian Trail #1601

and motorcycle riders.
Trailhead Access: From Highway 97 at Swauk
Pass, go south on FS Road 9716 to FS Road 9712,
and east on 9712 to Haney Meadow.
Setting: Meadows, old-growth lodgepole pine,
mountains, and sandstone outcrops.
Parking and Facilities: There are regular camping
facilities here but no drinking water.
Directions: Begins at the north end of the
campground and follows the boundary of the county
line (between Chelan and Kittitas counties),
paralleling FS Road 9712 in places. The trail
crosses Upper Naneum Trail #4W312 and turns to
the east, ascending Mount Lillian, then descending
to the east and ends at FS Road 9712. This end is
within 0.25 mile of the trailhead for Howard Creek
Trail #1372.
