Manastash Trails - 1350, 1351.2, 1386, and 1386.1
Manastash Lake #1350
Length: 4.4 Miles
Gain: 1450’
High: 5650’
Low: 4200’
Recommended Season: Summer and Fall
Open to: Hikers, horseback riders, mountain
bikers, and motorcycle riders.
Trailhead Access: From I-90 take exit 101.
Turn south, travel 2 miles, turn right on
Cove Road. Continue 4 miles to Manastash
Road. Turn right on Manastash Road,
which becomes FS Road 3100. Continue on
FS Road 3100 to Riders Campground. The
trailhead is located across the road from the
Campground.
Setting: Clearcuts (1980), lakes, old-growth
timber, meadows, roads, ridgetops.
Parking and Facilities: The trailhead is
located across from Riders Campground.
Parking, toilets, and picnic tables are
available. The upper parking area is
located ¼ mile before Riders Campground
where there is ample parking and a toilet.
Description: From the trailhead, the trail
climbs gradually through several large
clearcuts. At one mile, there is a junction
with the Plantation Trail #1350.2 which
heads west for about 0.7 mile to a connect
with a 4x4 trail, 4W307. Trail 1350
continues toward Lost Lake, leaving logged
areas about 0.5 mile before reaching Lost
Lake. It skirts the shore of Lost Lake, climbs
onto a plateau, and winds its way through
thick forest to Manastash Lake. It follows
the west shore of the lake for about 0.25
mile, then climbs a series of switchbacks
(constructed in 2000) to trail’s end on
Manastash Ridge and a junction with 4W694
(Naches Ranger District). This trail will
access the Naches Funny and Moon Rocks.
Rider Notes:
This area is a very popular multi-use area. Motorcyclists and mountain bikers, please remember to keep speeds down and anticipate horse traffic. As always, move to the side of the trail and talk to the horses and horse owners. Motorcyclists, please remember to turn your engines off. Please help maintain good relationships between different users by recreating responsibly.

Keenan Meadows Trail #1386
Length: 2.9 Miles

High: 5100’
Low: 4150’

Trailhead Access: From I-90 take exit 101.
Turn south, travel 2 miles, turn right on
Cove Road. Continue 4 miles to Manastash
Road. Turn right on Manastash Road,
which becomes FS Road 3100. Continue on
FS Road 3100 to Manastash Campground
and travel .25 mile up to FS Road #3104
and turn right on ATV 30 to its junction with
1386.
Setting: Clearcut, meadows, old-growth
trees, stream.
Parking and Facilities: Manastash
Campground (NW Forest Pass REQUIRED.
Description: From its junction with ATV30,
1386 heads uphill through forest to the trail’
s end at the junction with Shoestring Lake
Trail #1385. This trail is in relatively good
condition.


South Fork Manastash Trail #1386.1
Length: 3.5 Miles
Gain: 300’
High: 4450’
Low: 4150’

Open to: Hikers, horseback riders, mountain
bikers, and motorcycle riders.

Trailhead Access: From I-90 take exit 101.
Turn south, travel 2 miles, turn right on
Cove Road. Continue 4 miles to Manastash
Road. Turn right on Manastash Road,
which becomes FS Road 3100. Continue on
FS Road 3100 past Buck Meadows and
follow signs toward Quartz Mountain to the
trailhead (Shoestring Trailhead).
Setting: Raparian zone, meadows, open
hillsides, old-growth trees, stream.
Parking and Facilities: There is a developed
trailhead with toilet, and parking for 10+
vehicles
Description: This trail takes off trail #1385
about .25 mile from trailhead. It parallels
road 3100 for about 2 miles before leaving a
ridge, crossing Manastash Creek, and
heading through old-growth and old logging
units. At 3.5 miles it ends at a junction with
Keenan Meadows Trail #1368 and ATV 30.
Hikers and riders can follow ATV 30 into
Manastash Campground, or can make a
loop back to the trailhead via 1386 and
1385.
Plantation Trail #1350.2
Length: 0.67Miles
Gain: 200’
High: 4200’
Low: 4000’

Open to: Hikers, horseback riders, mountain
bikers, and motorcycle riders.

1350 to 4WD307
Trailhead Access: From I-90 take exit 101.
Turn south, travel 2 miles, turn right on
Cove Road. Continue 4 miles to Manastash
Road. Turn right on Manastash Road,
which becomes FS Road 3100. Continue on
FS Road 3100 to Riders Campground. The
1350 trailhead is located across the road
from the Campground, and the Plantation
trail is accessed approximately 1 mile up the
1350.
Setting: Clearcuts (1980), single track,
roads.
Parking and Facilities: The trailhead for
1350 is located across from Riders
Campground. Parking, toilets, and picnic
tables are available. The upper parking
area is located ¼ mile before Riders
Campground where there is ample parking
and a toilet.
Description: This short little single track
connects the 1350 to 4WD307. Single track
users can utilize this trail as a shortcut back
to the Manastash Campground.
